Mike Rhodehamel became pastor of the Wilmington Living Word in October of 1996. Two years later, October of 1998, the church became autonomous from Middletown Living Word as a result of continued growth and a drive to pursue its own God-driven destiny. Within the year, after being impressed by God with a world vision, the name Living Word World Outreach was officially adopted.

In April of 1999, we began to expand the over-crowded facility with the addition of classrooms and office space as well as remodeled the nurseries, kitchen and cafe. The 4500 sq ft project was completed two years later -completely debt free!

God continues to bless us numerically, financially and most importantly, spiritually. We are seeing God's purpose and plan for Living Word World Outreach fulfilled with each passing month and year.

On January 1st 2006, LWWO started a new chapter in its exciting mission as Shane Rhodehamel became the Lead Pastor of LWWO. As we look to the future, we have been commissioned by God to build on the deep roots that have been established and take the message of Jesus farther and wider.
